Aer Lingus Website

I had a quick browse through some of airline websites while I had my lunch at work today and I have to say, the Aer Lingus website could really do with a re-design.

The colours are fine and all but it's a very plain site, no real imagination and it's not very easy to navigate either. Take a look at the AerArainn website to see what I mean, it's streets ahead of Aer Lingus.

Any thoughts on who has the best website out there among airlines?

I actually quite like the EI website. The booking system in particular is very clean and simple. As long as you're just on to book a flight it works fairly well IMO. The Ryanair website is a joke, but it does a good job of reflecting their brand image . The Arann website is very nice alright. Very tidy and clean. My favourite website is British Airways. The colouring and layout is top class, and again reflects their brand image, but this time in a good way :D

Yeah Aer Lingus website was a pleasure to book through...very strightforward and I'd also agree with you about the BA site, it looks really well.

Still I can't help feeling an airline such as Aer Lingus should have a webiste at least comparable to Aer Arainn for when you go about trying to find info on stuff such as check-in etc you find a distinct lack of navigational aid..no hyperlinks!

Hi Hate the Aer Lingus Website, it looks old! Yeah there booking system is ok but there website design isn't, they have some catching up to do.

Take a look at this - wouldn't this be better?

I have to say that I quite like the Aer Lingus website too, although I think that CityJet's website is the best of all. Simple and straightforward, and most importantly, the price you see is the price you pay always.

Or if you think that aerlingus.com is bad, take a look at Arkia's website and Israir Airlines' websites, both Israeli airlines. Good luck trying to get a quote without running into "errors", Arkia say their website is best viewed in Internet Explorer 5!
