    Hi,
Got an iphone about 6 weeks ago, jailbroke it using ziphone and all was working fine. A few days after I got it I had a problem connecting to my home network (magnet). I assumed it was a magnet issue as I had seen other people with the same problem. While in work I asked my boss could I connect to the wireless setup in there and he said no problem, when I tried to find the network.... nothing???
I have tried a dozen or so networks and the phone can't find anything.
I have googled the problem and it seems to exist but nobody has a fix for it.
Anybody having the same problems or have any suggestions?
I have tried downgrading (phone was originally 1.1.4), tried changing the baseban, bootlader etc and still nothing.
I have been 3 days trying various things and am ready to throw the phone out the window.
    Any advice greatly appreciated.

ps This seems to be happening on legitimate iphones aswell as jailbroken ones.

I think theres a wifi fix by either the devteam or iclarified for the mess that ziphone makes.

I can't tell you for sure but try over on modmyifone.com

I think that wifi fix is for greyed out wifi where it will not allow you to enter any wifi settings.

Does your wifi have a mac address you can check by going into settings/ general /about

i had a similar problem although my iphone would detect the wifi and say i was connected but would instantly drop off, i was on 1.1.3 and upgraded to 1.1.4 and now it works perfectly
try going to settings, general, reset & reset network settings it seemed to be the most common solution i got when looking for help although it never worked for me
    good luck

when you go onto the wifi menu have you tried to choose the network manually by selecting other and enter the name and security code then click join to see if you have any luck

just another thought did you try running the No wifi fix in ziphone 3.0 under advance features

yeah tried the manual way and its not picking up anything.
Tried the wifi fix using iliberty but it didnt work, didnt realise ziphone had it.
I will give it a go, nothing to lose at this stage.
    thanks for the reply.

the wifi fix in ziphone is just a bad copy of the iliberty one

his first version hardwired the same mac address to every iphone best to avoid

speaking to a mate last night and he reckons his mate had same problem & i'm afraid there is no fix you will need to send it back to apple or bring it to your nearest apple store, but if you have used jailbreak i would do a full restore first

looks like its hardware related as the bluetooth is not working either.
Is there anywhere that repairs these?

Just to give an update on this.
Didnt get the problem sorted, tried everything and must have restored and reflashed the phone about 30 times. Tried the wifi fix with Iliberty and Ziphone.
I originally jailbroke with Ziphone and it seems that this might have done the damage. Going to see if any of the phone shops can help me.
Looks like the Baseband or bootloader might be corrupted (not sure which).
    Thanks for all the replies.
    Sham.
