Build or Buy

I've already built a high end gaming pc for myself and know theres a lot of money to be saved but my gf wants a pc for just surfing the net, is it really worth the hassle of building for such a cheap computer, her budget is around 400 500 euros and I'm thinking of pointing her in the direction of Dell or lidl to pick up a cheap computer there, anyone built a basic PC recently & saved much?

Agreed,

I bought a Vostro 400 about 5 weeks ago with the 6500 processor 1TB HDD, 2GB RAM & two burners for €379 delivered.

Bought on a Sunday night & had it by lunch time Tuesday.

Doubt I could have built it for that.
