Thomann stock levels not true?

I'm just wondering if anyone has had any issues with Thomann stock levels and, in particular, Daneletro guitars lately?

I've had one on order for several months. I was told it will be back in stock on a certain month and, sure enough, the indicators and the Thomann site would say it's in on the date it was expected to be available. A few days later it would be out of stock again.

Now, this has happened twice while I've had my guitar on order but I never received the guitar. I asked what was up and they basically told me my order was forgotten. As you can imagine, I was pissed off and got on to them about this. Today I get an email telling me that they've actually had no stock since January and nobody has received a Daneletro guitar from them in the last 3 months. That's all perfectly well and good except for the fact that when I was told a new shipment would be be coming in, the site stated it had stock. I also would imagine the person who was dealing with my order at the time would have had an easier time explaining that Daneletro were not delivering them as expected rather than having to tell me that Thomann forgot about me.

I've been told that the distributor is Warwick and the first shipment since January is about to come through. What I'm basically wondering is if anyone has any background info on the distributor and can back up Thomann's excuse to me. It seems a little odd.

Something like that happened to me and i got fairly fed-up after a couple of months...if i knew i'd be waiting so long i'd have just ordered somewhere else.

So, no, their stock indicators aren't to be taken as gospel. Just the way it goes. There's a thomann sticky on the top of the page for future reference.

I pre-ordered pickups that were down as out of stock. Turned out they weren't and I had them in less than a week! :D Happy days!

I've got a load of stuff on order with them (E1K +) which should hopefully be here in a week or so. I've been waiting a while

The worrying thing is I ordered a Voodoo Labs PP+ and it's on my order but they have taken it off the website and replaced it with the Voodoo lab PP. I would hope to get an email if they can't get one to me
