Right I got an Iqon LM1W here that I had o reinstall Win XP onto. As per usual, i've no driver disks for the damn thing. I've managed to get them all from the net eventually but for one. The wireless button on the keyboard is not working which is leaving the wireless in a powered off state with no option to turn it on.

I think it's got to do with the keyboard driver (correct me if i'm wrong) but I just cannot find it anywhere. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

There might be some hotkey management software that Iqon uses to control the FN+f whatever keys to turn on and off there associated options. Where you would find said software is a mystery though....iqon website is woeful.

    Arseagon,

Did you have any luck with the drivers for this laptop. I got an FTP site from their support for driver downloads but I cannot connect to it.
    ftp://ftp.pcg.fic.com.tw/nbteth/LM1W/drivers/WinXP/
I am looking for the Keyboard extra keys driver also and the modem driver too.

    Thanks,

    Fangio.

Iqon are basically rebranded Everex machines (in most cases at least).
The model you have is apparently an Everex LM7WE
The page for the correct drivers should be
    http://www.fic.com.tw/everex//us/support/lm7w_/lm7w_.php

Give them a shot and see if it solves it.

I Tried the wlan driver from the links above and I’m afraid its a broadcom driver where as an intel pro wireless 2200bg is needed , I have already tried this one from the intel site again to no success thanks for your effort anyway

An old thread, however worth an update I think.

Got this solution, its the Application Power Manager 1.9.6 that controls the wireless button I uninstalled and it would not work until I done a full system restore using the hidden PC Angel partition that was in tact.

I do not have a source for this application and I cannot create the recovery application disks and extract a driver for it.

Not a solution however the wireless card is perfect in these laptops it that this piece of software is impossible to find.
