Sharing on XP with ZoneAlarm installed

    Hi.

I got a second hand laptop, with XP on it.

I also have a Logik Internet Radio IR100.

The radio is able to read files from a laptop, and play them.

It does this by connecting to the laptop via the WiFi Router, and reading a shared folder.

I have such a shared folder on my desktop called "Music".

Before I installed any other sofware on the factory-restored XP, I stuck some mp3 files in the Shared "Music" Folder, and sure enough the Radio picked them up, and played them. All fine, it works ok.

Since I installed ZoneAlarm, the Radio has stopped picking up the laptop, and therefore cannot read the shared folder.

It works like this on the Radio.

    Click <Scan for PC>
It takes a few seconds, then tells you it has found the PC, and the shared folder, then breaks the tracks available down to Artist, Genre etc, just like an mp3 player, in fact.

Now, however, when I scan for PC, it tells me it has found nothing.

The Radio is working fine, still playing online radio from all over the world, not a bother.

Can someone help me to configure ZoneAlarm to allow me to do this again, thanks.

I also installed AVG, but it worked fine after that.

Probably best to setup a static IP on the radio.

Then allow it access in ZoneAlarm.
