Women in space.

    So, women in space, eh?

A space capsule recently returned to earth containing two women, one of whom was in charge:
The Russian TMA-11 craft touched down at 4:51 a.m. EDT about 260 miles off its mark ........ a highly unusual distance given how precisely engineers plan for such landings. It was also around 20 minutes later than scheduled. Search helicopters then took 25 minutes to locate the capsule and determine the crew was unharmed.
Interfax quoted an unidentified Russian space official as saying the capsule entered Earth's atmosphere Saturday with the hatch first instead of its heat shield leading the way. As a result, the hatch sustained significant damage

20 mins. late, 260 miles off course, re-entered upside-down then set fire to a huge piece of beautiful Kazhakstan? Women, eh?
<Federal Space Agency chief> Perminov <said> "This isn't discrimination. I'm just saying that when a majority (of the crew) is female, sometimes certain kinds of unsanctioned behavior or something else occurs, that's what I'm talking about." He did not elaborate.

I suppose though, considering how badly women drive on the earth, it's lucky they even hit the planet, poor dears.

Still, I bet they kept the shuttle nice and clean, I should hope so anyhow.

I'm pretty sure they can't float right in space. I mean they are top heavy after all.

Just a thought on that. How good would boobs look in zero gravity!! Nothing pulling them south! I want to become an astronaut to do more important research into this.............

indeed. It amuses me sometimes! Good thing she didn't try to back it in on the mirrors, or she could've ended up on the moon! :D

Wow... the Russian space agency must be struggling with funding cut backs if they could only afford to pay women to do such dangerous and demanding jobs.

Still at least they had the sense to hold back sending chimps. Probably better to keep them for the more complicated tasks.

Barbarella ... she's a woman, in space, so she is.
What I like about this movie, apart from the plot and special effects and so forth ... is the fact that Barbarella saves the day, largely by having space relations with random weirdos.

This influenced me a lot, as a young trout-let. I still hope the future will work this way.

Funny, Barbarella was the first thing that came to mind when I initially saw this thread title. That's got to be the worst trailer ever though, the voiceover is duller than a caravan holiday in Monaghan.

Lucky Milo O'Shea being around whilst Barbarella is "doing her thing".
