Apologies about the duplication of threads...

I did Connemara at start of April and am intending to do Belfast, Newry, Cork, Longford and Dublin this year.

Hopefully the weather'll be alright indeed and my lack of training over the past 10 days don't hinder!! Looking for about 4h 20m...you?

    J.

No problem belcarra. I hadn't looked to see you are a new user. I did Belfast in 2005 and it was the worst organisation I have seen at a marathon but I have heard much better things about the 2006 and 2007 races. Hope you have fun.

    Hey Jason 77,

How'd ya get on in belfast?

I did it in 4h 23m myself and was pretty happy with that as it beat my PB by 12 mins so going in the right direction.
    Anyone else take part?

    J.

    Hi Belcarra,

    Congratulations on your PB.

I ran it in 3 hrs 23, an improvement of 17 minutes on my only other marathon.
I was delighted with that time, was aiming for a 3.30.

How are the legs now? Still stiff and sore here.

Hunnymonster, the organisation must have greatly improved as I thought it all went very well.

    Jason.

I love to hear this kind of thing. I try so hard not to bash races without good reason so it's good when someone can report a job well done.

Fair play Jason, that's a great time and improvement!

Have to agree that the organisation was pretty good!

Quads are still fairly stiff but not too bad considering I had to drive from Belfast to Cork after the race!!

Next up Newry. You trying that Jason? Anybody?

    JC.

This was my first Marathon really enjoyed it. I took it very cautious at the start and lost a lot of time I think. My time was 4hrs 24mins chip time or 4hrs 27mins as I crossed the finish line.

As I was crossing the finish line I was thinking of next year and training to get a good time. I am 15 stone so think I done alright for so little training.
