    Hi.

    I'm planning on installing an outside tap. I have seen outside tap kits in Homebase. Are they any good? Has anyone here used one?

    Thanks.

    don't use any that have a rubber/plastic hose;
    only use one that has a solid copper pipe or better still a flexible silver-coloured mesh-covered hose

    I have one on the side of my house
    no problems with it but they do take a while to set up

    I bought the kit from Woodies. No problem and it came with a self tapping tap it was done in about 30 mins.

    The only issue is getting a long enough drill bit to go through the wall to the inside.

    regards
