Cloning a hard-drive

I want to replace my laptops hard-drive (160Gb) with a bigger one (320Gb).

If I get a USB caddy as well, is it easy enough (for a novice) to clone the exisitng HD onto the new one?

If so, can anyone recommend some free software?

And is it just a case of cloning the drive, popping in the new one, and away you go, boots up as normal, or is there any complications with Vista thinking it's been installed on two machines or something of that nature?

    Cheers

There's a pretty good list here.

I'd probably use partimage but you may want something a bit more user friendly.

There shouldn't be any complications apart from a chkdsk.
