Hi I am interested for the Carl Cestari's videos. I am also interested in which of them are worth to buy.

As I know the Cestari's DVDs are:
Old School Series - 5 DVDs
    - OS1: Fundamentals of Unarmed Combat
    - OS2: Advanced Strikes
    - OS3: Ground Fighting
    - OS4: Defense vs Grabs & Holds
    - OS5: Bare Knuckle Boxing
    Seminars Series - 2 DVDs
    - S1: Fairbairn Seminar
    - S2: O'Neill Seminar
Then are DVDs in which is also featuring Damian Ross:
    Core Combat Training - 3DVDs
    - CCT1: The Foundation Skills
    - CCT2: Advanced Fighting Skills
    - CCT3: Ground Fighting Skills
Combat Jujutsu Series - 3 DVDs
    - CJ1: Throws, Grips & Dirty Tricks
    - CJ2: How to Gain Advantage on The Ground
    - CJ3: How to Build a Solid Ground Defense

But there are also few "new" DVDs that featuring Carl Cestari (but I am not sure):
    - Operation Phoenix
    - Law Enforcement Tactics
    - Iron Fist Iron Body
    - Daughters of Distruction
What they cover? Are a worth buy?

    Thanks.

    Hey Igor,

These are the ones to go for:

    - OS1: Fundamentals of Unarmed Combat
    - OS2: Advanced Strikes
    - OS3: Ground Fighting
    - OS4: Defense vs Grabs & Holds
    - OS5: Bare Knuckle Boxing

    Excellent stuff!

The rest of the DVDs you mentioned tend to cover pretty much the same material that's in the OS series. So unless your very rich there would be no need to buy them. :)

Have you got all the Lee Morrison stuff? (I prefer his stuff to Cestari's to be honest - but I could be called biased :)).

Thanks Baggio! I also like the OS series very much.
The S series is not good as the OS, also the CJ series is nos as so good. The only series that is similar is the CCT that is the "remake" of the OS series.
I have all this stuff! :D
But I am interested to know how good are his newest DVDs as Operation Phoenix, Law Enforcement Tactics, Iron Fist Iron Body and Daughters of Distruction. If they are so good or (as you said) they "cover pretty much the same material that's in the OS series".

However I have many (almost all ) of the Lee Morrison's stuff. It is exellent! But I am intetrested in Combatives also from others instructors (as Cestari, McCann, Perkins,..).

    Hey man,

To be honest I've not seen the very latest C.C. vids - I always thought that they were very over priced. So I can't really say if they are good or not. Probably worth getting your hands on therm second hand - but to buy new it's a rip off IMO. I think all the best stuff has been released with the OS stuff.

Who's "Perkins" btw? I've never heard of him.

    Cheers,

    R.

    Thanks for help :-)
Also in my opinion his latest DVDs that were made with Ross and Pizzo are not so good as OS series. But I search for an opinon from someone that has saw them.
Perkins is a founder of the system "Guided Chaos" that is Combatives with the principles of Taijiquan and Native American's Gruondfighting. Here is his webpage: http://www.attackproof.com/ . Here are few clips about his RBSD system:

    No worries...

Yeah, personally I try to avoid anything by Damian Ross or that Prizzo guy. Less said the better on a public forum and all that.

I remember the seeing clips of the "guided chaos" system now. To be honest it wouldn't be my cup of tea at all, looks very technique heavy (i.e. - fine motor skill stuff against "specific defenses").

Also, I don't like the aspect of the bizarre "air kicking" thing they do from the ground.

But that's just my opinion - cheers for the clips! :)

genuine question here, as i researched a little into the history of grappling arts for college.

What is Native american Groundfigting, I have never come across it before, and I'm intrigued

I have no idea to be honest but it looks very weird to me. I've seen his stuff before. Wouldn't be my first choice in a ground fight.

    Check it.

EDIT: actually, I love the way the guy in black falls over at least twice in this clip for no reason whatsoever

I was thinking the same thing.... Did you see this one??
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcBOoYWpB5E&feature=related

To me, it would be sheer suicide going to the ground against 2 guys, especially if one was armed with a knife  Better to run away.

Just going on a hunch here;), I'd say that that lad has never used those skills for real, other wise he would not be simply rolling around on the floor like that. And if you were doing that on a REAL street (god forbid), you'd better watch out for broken glass and dog crap. Not to mention the two guys kicking your head in while your down there. :(

    "Advanced strikes" ?

"Guided Chaos" (GC) don't use fine motor skills and is not designed to response against specific attacks.

Native american Groundfighting is the groundfighting method that Perkins learned from his relatives that were Native Americans. It is mora a family way of fighting than an "official" Native Americans style.

Also GC don't suggest to go to the ground. But is true that sometimes they say that maybe the ground is the only way out!
That video is only a drill (demo) and is not the way that they suggest to fight (response)! The main thing is awareness and avoidance.
There is more than their demos on the webpage. I don't like to explan all that system here.

However please, can we go back to Cestari's videos!
