O2 To Vodafone Bill

Hi All,

Currently on O2 billpay and moving to Vodadone billpay this month.

Question is, I want to port my number over to Vodafone so should I open to Vodafone account before I cancel the O2 contract or after?

When you port over to Vodafone through any Vodafone agent they will automatically disconnect your O2 account when they set up the new a/c.

It is pretty seamless, should only take a few minutes to open one and close the other.

Just bring photo ID and proof of address with you into the shop and they can do it all at once.

Just make sure you are out of contract with O2 so you don't get hit with a hefty disconnection charge. If you are still in contract it may be worth ringing up to see what disconnection charges you may be faced with. If out of contract just proceed as above.

Make sure you bring an O2 bill from within the last 3 months with you when you go to do this, they will need details from the bill.
