After sending myself broke gettin blowdries, im eventually giving in and buying a ghd...but after enquiring in Peter Marks, i was shocked that theyve now gone up to over €170! I had a quick look on ebay and theyre sooo much cheaper but am skeptical! Has anyone bought one from ebay recently and are they genuine?

if they're stupidly cheap then they are probably fakes. Especially if they hail from Hong Kong or that general direction.

I got a straightner from Boots for about €45, and it works just as good as a GHD one. - http://www.babyliss.co.uk/Straighten/pro+230

I got my ghd in Terrisales wholesale shop on Abbey Street about 3 christmasses ago (maybe 4 actually ) and it has probably been the best thing I've ever bought. It's well worth €170 or whatever you pay for it IMO. Get the geniune one.

Im not sure about their GHDs, but I bought hair-extensions off them and they have a great service and I was very happy.

GHD's are really good value on www.hqhair.com. They cost around 120 euro. Way cheaper than the rip off Peter Marks

Yeah I got mine on HQ Hair for about 130 including a heat spray. Also got Piggypoints too!

Edit: It's definitely genuine! I wouldn't chance ebay though ....

I bought a pair of ghds on ebay a few months ago. Bout €85 for a limited edition pink pair, brand new, in box with all the extras (dvd, bag, heatproof mat). definitely genuine. it wasn't from an ebay shop tho, just a random seller. ebay can be great value, but you have to be careful and check out all the info before you buy!

I honestly wouldnt buy a ghd on ebay, even the pink ones have been faked. You only have to look on ioffer to see the amount of things that are faked.Buy from a shop or from a reputable retailer,at least you can go back to them if you have any problems.
