To Wii or not to Wii?

Pighead has noticed that a lot of fatties are getting in on this whole Wii revolution taking place. The lazy mans guide to keeping fit. Fat lads who would otherwise never even have dreamed of partaking in sports are now jumping over sofas with a Wii racket in their hand and a can of lager in the other trying to return their other fat mates killer serve.

Is this an acceptable form of exercise or are the fat lads here a bit sceptical of Nintendos motives. Is this a cunning ploy by the Japs to rid the world of beer bellies? Pighead read once that the Japs detest gluttony and sloth. Apparently in Japan if you weigh over 14 stone you have 2 choices: be executed or become a sumo wrestler.

So what do you think my chubby friends, should the Wii be embraced or should a can of warm lager be poured onto the motherboard destroying the machines components and rendering it useless.

Yeah its fun but it also causes you to expend energy and flirt dangerously with that whole exercise thing. Are you not scared of losing your beer gut?

I say talk like that has no place in BGRH, for shame Brotherette Wilburt, for shame.

Now, to the question at hand.

I have never owned a gaming console in my life, so the Wii is not high on my priority list.

Nope as according to the charter....

    * Also, women who live with or want to live with such men.
    * Finally, anyone who is enriched by Beer Guts or Receding Hair.

Pighead the problem can be tackled with ease. Just drink excessively while playing and thereby cancel out the loss of gut! :D

*puts on fitness forum style proper voice*

to lose weight calories in < then calories out

to gain weight calories in > then calories out

so if you are expending energy while playing on the wii, just make sure to eat that other piece of steak and you will be fine

Both very fine points and both well made but surely thats a bit like two steps forward and one step back? Why not just take 3 steps forward and let the fat belly flourish?

Why not move into a hammock and take up permanent residence while being fed by tubes so you wouldn't have to lift your arms and shi**ing out through the net??

Why not sit down whilst drinking beer and watch others take the steps?

Off the top of Pigheads head a Wii is a video game system that uses special controls that can link to it using whats called a sensor bar, where you can point at it and move the remote around in ways corresponding to the game. It has many features and costs about €350. The Wii comes with its own game called Wii sports.

so it would be kinda like going to a virtual gym or doing virual sports, if you have to make the actual movements to win the game

so boys, you all have vitual excerising machines at home - shame, the shame

You won't catch me using wii fit. Mario Galaxy all the way. Use your left thumb and the odd flick of your right wrist! Hardly exercise!

As has been pointed out.....any perceived exercise (*pukes) can be offset with copious amounts of gargle and chinese takeaways. Problem solved.

Thankfully Medal of Honour requires little effort other than lobbing the odd grenade and generally shooting anything that moves. It can be played from a relatively comfortable reclining position.
