    Hi all,

I'm wondering what the tyre pressure in my MH should be ?

The weight of the MH (Euar Mobil 515 Sport) is on a sticker at the back of my service booklet.

(Sorry about the quality of the pics - but I think they're readable)

See here (Click for bigger pic):
    weightseq0.th.jpg
So accourding to that the weights are :
    Front Axle : 1315 Kg
    Rear Axle : 1370 Kg
    Total Weight : 2685 Kg

And in the Eura Mobil Manual (In German - I've written in translations) (Click for bigger pic):
    manualug6.th.jpg
It says for 215/70 R 15 Tyres (What I have) pressure should be :
    Rear : 4 bar (Roughly 58 psi)
    Front : 3.75 bar (Roughly 54 psi)

However, inthe hinge of the front door, there is a FIAT Sticker as follows (Click for bigger pic):
    fiatpressurejogkv9.th.jpg
Ok - That pic is quite hard to read but basically it say something about Pressure and Bar and then 80 !!
This of course can't be 80 bar - but what is it ??

    Anyhow - I'm going with the 3.75 & 4 bar pressures ?

The tyres at the rear were at 5 bar (72 psi) and one of the front was over 4 bar and the other was at 3 bar....

So - any suggestions as to what it actually should be ?

By the way - that sticker in Pic 1 is the only indication of weight I can find - the weight of my MH isn't on lmy registration certificate - but I'm guessing that it's right as it's quite a small MH with only 4 Berths (About 18 foot long)

    Thanks all !!

That first sticker is your weight ready to roll. That includes 90% fuel, a driver of 75kg and in your case 30 liters of water.

Fill all tanks, pile in the people, theit gear and the beer :D and that weight will go up.

It is safe to assume, that most motorhomes once full, will be at the upper weight limit (if not above).

3.75 / 4.0 sounds about right, but persoanlly I prefer to always have 0.5 bar more than recommended. Harder tires just work better on bad roads. Not that they are more comfortable, but less spongey to drive.

But take care not to exceed the max pressure for your tyres. That should be marked (in PSI) on the side wall.

I have no idea what that Italian sticker is all about ...it's certainly not bar and even 80 PSI (~ 5.5 bar) is very high and could well be over the limit for the tyre .

I've always kept mine around the 60psi mark.
