Through a link on a horse racing forum I signed up to kierenfallon.co.uk, a new site. He has sent tips on a pretty regular basis. So far 7 horses to be backed of which 4 have come home, the others were mixed (one came in second last) but thats very good hit-rate.

Today he gave the nod to Duke of Marmalade at Lonchamps, it came in at
9/2, 20 down 110 back. Nice. I missed yesterdays suggestion as I hadn't checked the e-mail and missed a similair priced winner (doh).

So if you follow the gee-gees I suggest signing up :)

    Mike.

Is the service free? As I dont see any mention of a fee?

    Yep its free.

picking 4 winners from 7 is not to be sniffed at. I signed up anyway but it's a bit vague in the sense it doesnt let me know i've signed in even though i have been given a username and password. It does say in my confirmation email that we get updates when the site itself is updates so i assume that means his tip for the day etc..

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Yep make sure the e-mail is checked every five mins, cos sometimes the tip comes only a short time before the off.

    I was born a lazy cnut & i'll die a lazy cnut.

Might be better to have it mentioned here before the off so people could maybe add a bit of their own analysis on the horse and race. And also whether they will back win or e-w & how much, etc.

    2 weekend tips this week(3 &4 May) won @ 5/4fav and placed(3rd) @ 9/2.
    Didn't get on either tip.

Must start taking an interest in his tips
    Seem good!

Ruby Walsh seems to have one too:

    www.rubywalsh.co.uk

They are all at it. Worth paying for good info. If its free it will eventually stop and the losers will come

    Im staying away from Fallon's

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,431 ✭✭✭Morgans

Given that current jockeys are prohibited from gambling or using phones on the course, I would question the legitamacy and credentials of Ruby's site. Fallon's is more a grey area but again I would question the level of co-operation with the main name.

Geoff Huffer has set up a tipping line after quitting last year. But several other fake tipping services have been set up using big names.

It doesn't stop a tipping service from providing winners. Would recommend caution in believing that these services as tips from the horses mouths so to speak.

Sail is running in the next race at Chester 4.5/1

I already had my eye on this one. Deffo worth a modest punt.

Got word for Sail earlier too...got him at 9/2

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Bloody shortened to 3/1 :( I'm going to pass this time but will regret it.

edit - I regreted it! :( Came home very strong from 7th.

Think he went off at 9/4 in most places so i left it too  Bad decision! One would have to wonder though did it shorten so much due to knowledgeable punters backing or (supposedly) kieran fallon tipping him! A winners a winner though

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Well he was 4.5/1 and steady at lunchtime then I got the e-mail and checked the odds which had shortened to 3-1.

    Mike.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 909 ✭✭✭Gareth37

Ruby had a 33/1 winner today

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

    Saw that!

Regarding tiping Fallon v Walsh, the former is off track and is doing it for fun, there is no attempt to "beat the bookies" with systems or such-like. He is mainly concentrating on Sir Michael Stoutes stable as he does the gallops for him. If and when he gets back into action for real he may well quit while continuing to post notes about how the yards inmates are doing. Nothing wrong with that and useful info.

Ha! Talk about the kiss of Death. I just checked e-mails and this cropped up
We have been considering starting an SMS text messaging service, so
please let us know if you will be willing to contribute towards the cost of

Hes tipped alseraaj in 8.25 at warwick tonight. Horse has duly moved from 5/2 in some places to 13/8!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

I know, the word is speading. Got mentioned on William Hill radio service (not attributed to KP though).

I was expecting him to give the green light to Spanish Moon but didn't (5-1 winner).

    Mike.

The Ruby Walsh site doesn't mention any affiliation to the person himself or that the information comes from the person himself.

    Two very different sites.

backed it blindly myself today, didnt back the one at the weekend as it was sent to my work address, but have back his last two winners and :D:D:D:D happy days!!

didnt see the race but results show a 2 1/2 length win. Over 7F that aint too bad :)

I can see a subsription fee coming VERY VERY soon for members!! :p

Williman Hill radio read out an e-mail which blew the gaf - mentioned Fallons site by name so thats it! All the value will be gone.

I had a few quid on at 3/1...good stufff! He seemed pretty confident about it in his report. Id proceed with caution, its just a matter of deciding which races his tip is likely to win...strong today, not so at the weekend

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 666 ✭✭✭pigeonbutler

I got on that one yesterday for a small stake at 7-2. Then totally forgot about the bet until late last night and saw he'd won.

I've done a few sums. And the 8 tips given in the "on the gallops" section have had a 75% strikerate and would have returned €20.99 if you'd placed €1 on all of them. I think I'll be sticking with this for a while. But as said already, all good things (especially this good) must come to an end before too long.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,588 ✭✭✭Bluetonic

    Today he's given.

    Ainama 3.45 york win

    Seasider 2.10 york e/w

Interesting that Seasider was 8s about the place this morning, now 9/2 generally.

This is obviously well known information, not just coming from Fallons site but I'd say Fallons site is well down the pecking order.

    I threw a might 4 euro (2 E/W) on that as a double.

    Mike.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,568 ✭✭✭thewools

He has thrown "HONOURED GUEST" into the equation too - and hopes for a place
This is a sneaky little outsider that we can't let slip through the net without a mention. He won a listed race over 7f at the Curragh last season with his head in his chest.
6 furlongs maybe a bit on the sharp side, but at such a big price he has an each way chance.

Runs in the 3.10 at 20's generally

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,568 ✭✭✭thewools

Missed the first tip he gave for Seasider... :p Lucky me...

but must say i fancy AINAMA myself... at a short price however but might throw a few yoyos on it anyways!!! :)

    A double loser today!

Damm - first time I managed to get on in time!!!

Maybe he's trying to throw off causals? ;)

Interesting that today on the site he tipped up Lang Shining in the 3.10 in York, email never went around but it was on the site, he said something along the lines of that the horse 'only had to turn up to win'. Horse was beaten 3/4 L by Mia's Boy at 15/2. Checked back on the site late and low the information has been removed.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 235 ✭✭Yerac

Didn't see that one yesterday but something similar happened to the "honoured guest" tip and it was removed soon after the race. I suppose removing some of the losing tips will boost the success rate ;)

Rather than responding to each and every member individually, which i try to do whenever possible, i felt i would write a wholesale response to the many e-mails which i have received recently.

Firstly, THIS IS MY OFFICIAL WEBSITE! Contrary to public opinion and debate I can assure you that this my official website.

Secondly, I have removed some of the recent 'gallop reports' and 'eyecatchers' from the website. This is not because such horses have lost (which is the reason most people are suggesting). Instead it's because the designers of my webpage only allow for 10 reports per page, so the only way to get around this is by deleting some of the out-dated reports. In order to rectify this, and to stop people complaining, I have been in touch with the web designers and they are working to extend this to an unlimited number of reports per page. In the future no 'gallop reports' will be deleted. As for the eyecatchers, that page is different as once they have run or they are not qualified to be an eyecatcher anymore, then there is no need to mislead people by keeping them on there.

As you are all probably aware, this site is totally free of charge and has cost alot of money to setup as well as taking a great number of man hours to bring the information to my members. I hope you all appreciate that the site is run to the best of my capabilities and that update e-mails are only delivered when i am in a position to get them sent to you.

In essence, what I'm trying to say is, I'm doing my best to give something back to all the loyal people that have followed me and supported me over the years and a little recognition rather than numerous complaints and moans would be appreciated.
    .
