    20 minutes gone; 7-3

Munster having to defend and soak up the pressure. Massive hits from Tipoki and Howlett.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,727 ✭✭✭✭Sherifu

    Try O'Gara, 7-8 25 mins.

Good game, good work from POC.

    Confusion over conversion...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,727 ✭✭✭✭Sherifu

Try Quinlann. Dowling & Howlett layed the groundwork. 7-15 HT

    Conversion by Donncha O'Callaghan?

    Tipoki binned. Peno Saracens.

    13-15

    Munster are looking shaky here

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,727 ✭✭✭✭Sherifu

    Lloyd binned for Saracens. Punches.

Anyone else find the sky commentary obscenely biased towards Saracens?

Johnson gone for professional foul. Munster may count the gods if this conjours up more then 3 points in the next 10 minutes

Perhaps + I think they're backing the underdog.

I think they are more puppys at this stage with only 13 vs 15 tbh

Jackson gets this then the it ll be some 8 minutes of rugby i tell ya that

    Edit: And he does

O'leary is murdering us, been appalling all game...his kicking game is horrendous and some of his decision making has been crass in the extreme. I'd get Stringer on to steady the ship for the final 10..

Yar so much for the hopes of some people saying he ll be Irelands back up 9 he's useless under the spotlight

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,249 ✭✭✭Stev_o

Question: If by full time we get a draw what way are they basing it more tries scored or first try scored? I think it might be the latter but not sure

    Munster are throwing this away...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,727 ✭✭✭✭Sherifu

Needed that knock on... 5 mins to hold out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 352 ✭✭steelbar

Where have munster gone? they have been asleep for the last 20 mins,.Really hope they hold on, it will be a tense 5 mins,

And How is quinlan still on the pitch, should of been binned 3 r 4 times

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,772 ✭✭✭toomevara

Also the officiating has been apalling (in respect of both sides) not good enough for a HC semi...the game has been reduced to farce for the last 15 minutes...

And what genius provided those pointless bleedin' posts? For chrissakes, they're worse than useless. Not good enough ERC...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 352 ✭✭steelbar

am as for their kicking, have missed way too many touches...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,727 ✭✭✭✭Sherifu

too close for comfort, will need to improve for the final

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,727 ✭✭✭✭Sherifu

    Done & dusted. :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,249 ✭✭✭Stev_o

Hold up surely thats a ruck called as there is more then 2 players at the contact area surely Munster hadnt a right to compete for that

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 8,632 ✭✭✭darkman2

What does the Sky commentator think now:pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,958 ✭✭✭✭RuggieBear

lot of harsh calls at the end.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,772 ✭✭✭toomevara

Appaling performance from Munster, cluless and braindead...got out of jail free. Stringer can shine his boots...freakin' O'leary a shambles....Sheer force of will got 'em through that...think I've aged a few years watching that one...Toulouse won't be worried (which may be a good thing...)

The final really doesnt seem that great from a neutrals perspective now with those two performances by the finalists :(

  • Site Banned Posts: 5,676 ✭✭✭jayteecork

Worst refereing performance I've seen in absolutely ages.

That thing with the scrum was an absolute farce. The team gets two props sent off and the other team can't use the advantage? WTF? Those uncontested scrums were a joke.

Munster were the best team and it would have been really cruel if they lost at the end but Saracens played well.

Looks like Gaffney is jinxed going out in semifinals

Wouldn't go that far. Thought a lot of the Munster players had big game. O'Connel, Quinlan, Mafi, Tipoki, Dougie.

well i reckon they both won't play as badly again. Besides the contrast in styles might make it a classic...as long as Toulouse have enough players fit.

And as for POC talking about the teams "D"
Has he moved to American football???

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,727 ✭✭✭✭Sherifu

There have been enough calls gone against Munster in past years imo. No harm they got a bit of luck. :)

Because you need 3 qualified front row players not considering two were in the bin and only one sub prop could be brought on you HAVE to by law go uncontested scrums unless of course you want someone to fairly easily get paralysed or even worse die because their team was "forced" to put any old person at prop.

But yeah reffing again was awful again Nigel Owens has a nightmare at the breakdown situation and resembled alot of his performance in the Leinster Edinburgh match.

If they had lost it in the end they would have deserved it as they were awful for 40 minutes un typical Munster

  • Site Banned Posts: 5,676 ✭✭✭jayteecork

Well it doesn't seem right that you're better off having two props sent off than one.

They should look into giving a free kick or penalty if that situation arose again

Im confused now  the rules state that you have to remove a player from the field if he is carded even if that means there are no props. Look the rule has been there for years and its good otherwise rugby would be a negative light towards the safety of it

Agree, lots of fine individual performances, all those above can take a bow...thats what won us the game..but tactically we were very naive (a better word might be thick). We had no control whatsoever at half back...

O'Leary kept handing Sarries gilt-edged attacking opportunites with his dull kicking and some of his decision making was extremely poor...constantly isolating himself and getting trapped at the end of the ruck...

O'Gara didn't run the game well at all, failed completely to stamp any authority on it...I couldn't see any discernible gameplan at all...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 19,341 ✭✭✭✭Chucky the tree

What the **** was Leamy thinkinh at the end with the stamp? Completelty stupid. TOL was ****e, ROG was poor aswell I thought.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,958 ✭✭✭✭RuggieBear

curious why he wasn't carded for the blatant stamp, not that it would have made any difference

  • Site Banned Posts: 5,676 ✭✭✭jayteecork

Yeah the Sarries players really wound up Leamy.

Gaffney probably told them he had a very short fuse.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,608 ✭✭✭themont85

I thought Munster were terrible today. Yes O'Leary was poor but O'Gara was very of his game also. Leamy can be such a tool on the rugby pitch at times, such a stupid penalty. And what happened to the 'two best centres in the competition', good in defence but spurned a couple of great attacking chances. Maybe there was a touch of complacency there in the tactics. POC, Quinlan and Horan were good in fairness though. Should be a cracking final though, Munster can't be like that again.

Why was there so many empty seats at the game. Was the fact that it wasn't in the south of France kill the 'Red Army's will to go to the game:p Seriously though I thought it was sold out, anyone know why there was so many seats empty?

  • Site Banned Posts: 5,676 ✭✭✭jayteecork

I wondered about that too. Apparently you could buy tickets that day in the stadium for 22 pounds. On a Munster semi final? WTF?

Surely a sign of the economy perhaps?
