Advice needed about DVD recorders

I want to buy a DVD recorder, I don't really want the hard drive with it as it tends to push up the price above what I'm prepared to pay (€200-€300).
I specifically want one with a HDMI input (two if possible), it has to be digital and it has to record to +RW and -RW.
I notice that very few recorders have digital and HDMI.Why exactly is this?

Yeah I was looking at that sony one funnily enough. Seems strange that they don't have hdmi in, the sky hd box has hdmi out doesn't it?
