    Fence ?

Either for the car or for the dog.

My grandfather had the same problem with his Shepard eating his passat. He connected the car to one of these:

This one has probably come to the conclusion that by munching on the car
    1. it has something nice and tough to nibble
    2. it gets a reaction from you (i.e. in dog's mind : reaction = attention = yippee!!)

Keep the car fenced off, then try giving the dog plenty of bones and toys to chew on (e.g an old shoe) and play with the dog every time you give it. The dog should learn that bones/toys are a much better source of fun and attention and will hopefully lose interest in the motor.

My mutt pup was initally a bit growly when I first started taking its bone away but now gladly brings it over to me to play (plus it's much safer when there's kids about)

I hope it works for you 'cause that's a nice motor.

Paint it with mustard (the Mante, not the dog) or with onion juice;)

we're it a hungry MALE you could "superfill" it to make it less hungry

(place head in bucket of water, place testicles on brick, strike with second brick)

maybe there is a similar procedure for a female?

NB should have made clear it s the DOGS head you place in bucket...not your own....

I know of a person who stopped a cat from climbing in the window by attaching balloons to the window cill. When the cat got on the cill he would burst a balloon or two, get a fright and jump down. He doesn't get on the cill anymore. Maybe something similar with the manta......

Get another shepard for him to play with , they like company and get bored on there own when they are pups
Give him plastic milk bottles to play with , put some biscuits in the bottom and crush the neck of the bottle so the biscuits dont fall out straight away

Should really move this to animals and pets ... they'd have you sitebanned in a flash. :D

Please do not advocate animal cruelty on boards, not even as a joke...
