A team in the Department of Russian and Slavonic Studies (Trinity College

Dublin) are researching cultural and linguistic diversity in the Republic
of Ireland, drawing on the experience of people in Ireland who speak and
understand Russian. This is being funded by the Irish Research Council for
the Humanities and Social Sciences.


The first stage of the research project is a sociolinguistic survey which
is accessible on line at https://www.tcd.ie/Russian/OurLanguages/survey.php
.

The survey asks:

* Which languages do you know?

* When, where and with whom do you use them?

* How do you feel about each of your languages?-


Participants may become further involved if they wish by being part of a
focus group or giving an in-depth interview.
