not sure if this has been done, hope not, but hows about posting up old irish ads here (or clips that include irish ads) now the one im posting up has got english ads as well but rte hadnt got much choice in 1986... the irish ads are towards the end of the clip.... and they are very proffessional lol!!

p.s. is there a yolky gizmo ye can get in argos or somewhere that allows ye to transfer old vhs onto mp3 format? i hav tons of old rte shute on vhs from waaay back!!

Yeah, there's this gizmo for sale in Argos and its more expensive counterpart. I'm not sure what the difference is - I suspect one ships with better software. It works fine but be aware that you will need to get the correct cables for it separately and they're not in every shop

If you have a DVD recorder or know someone who has, that'll work fine too. Simply hook your VCR up to it with a scart and away you go.

Getting the stuff as far as YouTube is trickier though. I have put stuff on YouTube in my time and what I did was to convert the vob file (these are on DVDs) to avi using a freeware program called Auto Gordian Knot

Bet you're sorry you asked now :D

Gotta love the song in the Lucozade ad. Healthy goodness my arse though. How did they get away with that?

Loved the ads for the cars. Weren't they awful looking altogether. And Alan Stanford is STILL doing ads and some of the other voice overs are knocking around today too!
