Playstation store woes yet again

    I put 5 euro into my wallet on tuesday with a 3v voucher, i buy new 3v voucher today to put some more in so can get the map pack for cod 4 and yet again i run into problems paying for it, I put in all the details exactly right and it kept saying Ccard details were invalid, i goto 3v site enter the voucher number and cvv2 and ofc it is valid and funds are in there

    Ring Playstation careline. explain my problem and he says im sorry sir we dont support the 3v format on our systems, I said funny that if you look at my transaction history youll see i put 5 euro into the store on tuesday using the same method, he puts me on hold comes back and said sorry sir i was unaware 3v worked on the store, ill put you on hold again, he comes back did you delete your billing info and re enter, Yes i always have to do that as its a different voucher number each time, on hold again, ok sir ill take your details and escalate it to the higher ups and theyll ring you back (and im still w8ing on phone call)

    Dunno why sometimes everything works 100% with 3v and othertimes it simply refuses to work, surely it cant be that hit and miss, its a bloody credit card FFS

    It wouldn't take my CC details one day, it kept saying that my details were incorrect when I knew full well that they weren't.

    aye the message has changed from ccard details is invalid to your credit card details cannot be updated at this time please try again later, so either im locked out there end cause i tried so many times or theres some update gone through that wont accept 3v card details

    Again strange as I did put in 5 euro to the wallet tuesday with no hassles, even have the confirmation e-mail from the store as well

    The entire PSN shop is a joke. Where does one find the demos? The USA shop is layed out perfectly but not in Europe. Dickheads.

    I left this for a couple of hours yesterday, and tried again in the evening and now the message has gone back to your credit card details are invalid, i mean wtf has happened between now and last tuesday when i put in funds using a 3v voucher

    All i want to do is get the damn map pack FFS

    I'm getting the same problem bought a 20 Euro voucher the other day and it keeps coming up invalid when i have used 3v vouchers plenty of times before.

    Just got a voucher today to add some money to my wallet (Just a fiver for the new Warhawk expansion) and I'm getting the same f**kin thing.

    Worked no bother the first time I used it,but now I'm getting the same damn "Your credit card details are invalid" message.

    Its a pain in the arse...

    well the good news is that the problem isnt isolated to 3v, I got hold of a credit card entered all the info and still comes up invalid

    So somethings borked sonys end, will be ringing them up on monday again and ripping whoevers on the phone a new one

    totally unacceptable

    Well I'm glad to hear its just something on their end and I can still use the 3V vouchers when its back. Hopefully it will be back soon. Just tried again there but its still not working.

    Lads,
    are you still having problems with normal credit cards ?.......if so, you may want to try again today as its working with no problems on this end..
    Dunno about using the 3V stuff as I never have, but I've chucked a few euros, dollars etc today onto my EU, US and HK accounts without any issues..
    You will get a "invalid" message if you go in to update your billing info without adding in your 3 digit security number and continuing..
    Like I say, I cannot vouch for any 3V purchasing, but normal credit cards are certainly working

    Normal credit card not working for me.

    You must have one on file, i dont. And any time i try to put one on, it wont let me. And i do enter the 3 digit number on the back of the card

    Its on file with the EU store.....but you are still required to input security number details on the account management sections if you want to check your details.
    If you don't input the number and just try to continue, you will get an invalid error screen.
    Credit card was accepted no problem on the US and HK store (not on file with either) no more than 6hrs ago, as it always has been........Japanese store has never accepted my Mastercard, so I've always been stuck using PSN cards for those purchases..
    I have heard of cases before where pre-paid cards aren't accepted (not just PSN, but various online sites), but I cannot speak for them personally..

    I honestly cannot say anymore than that, other than address details etc obviously have to be 100% perfect to the billing address..
    While I realise people are certain they are doing this, surely there would be more of an issue seen even with quick googling if there was a widespread problem beyond individual anomalies..
    Also, Sony's handling company could be latching onto people who are using unusually different numbers (forgive me, as I don't know how 3v works) tied to their Master account.........in much the same way as account billings can be locked on an account if they detect unusual activity (repeat errors etc etc)

    Other than that, hopefully your credit card company could tell if they have detected attempted payments to PSN.......if not, then something is amiss between your account and Sony..

    It aint just the 3-v vochures dude, my damn credit card wont go on file. Keeps saying invalid and now its really starting to piss me off. I have rang sony 4 times over the past 48 hours and all i keep getting told is, its a problem with the servers wait 24 hours and then try. I wont even want to play when GTA comes out. I dont even know what to do, the guys at Sony wont take my details and add them at there end.

    Please keep trying the 3 vochures guys and if they work i will get them

    My point is that the funds transferred to those accounts came from credit card not on file with Sony's handling company.......i.e. essentially new card information..
    The EU account does have the info on file, so at the very least, there is no issue adding funds to accounts with billing information tied to them.....at the very worst, the EU region is having an issue with new card signups..
    The problem here around 3v vouchers and other people having problems around credit card invalid details, may be down to the accounts being locked down due to repeated invalid warnings over a period of time, whether through people incorrectly adding information, unusual card activity, multiple numbers or server timeouts on Sony's side..
    I don't know as I'm not wokring the Sony hotline.....but there have been cases before of companies locking down account activity for reasons such as above..

    If Sony are advising you to wait 24hrs before retrying then that may be the best thing to do, as constant retries may flag on your accounts as unusual activity..

    rang sony again this morning, anyhoo there just trotting out what theyve said to everyone else it seems, blaming the co4 map pack for all the problems with the credit card system, so took all my details yet again and passed all the information onto head office (was the higher ups on friday), gave me a reference number and told me to keep trying

    now WTF the cod 4 map pack has got to do with with sonys credit card system **** knows, there just pissing in the wind till somebody implements a fix on there obvious shambolic billing system, sorry guys i wouldnt bet on this being solved any time soon, cause they have literally no idea whats going on or how to fix it

    its still not working!!!....does any1 know if its still all credit cards and 3v cards that wont work??...i've been trying repeatedly since friday and for those of us who arent getting GTA just yet(cos of exams) its causing an even bigger headache!!

    Am i alone in thinking playstation should offer some sort of compensation for all our time wasted and the missed double xp weekend???:confused:

    I agree. We should get some sort of Playstation Store credit! :p

    I wasnt too bothered at first but its been a bit long at this stage. Wonder whats taking them so long

    Had to laugh i receive in my e-mail this morning a customer satisfaction survey from the playstation careline asking me how i thought they did in resolving my problem

    I let them have it with both barrels, the gall in sending me something like that when they havent even solved the problem is the height of ignorance
