Just got Wii Fit in Tesco, the square, tallaght for €74.95 - couldn't believe it when I checked the receipt - its 100 quid in zavvi and argos.

They only had a few and you have to ask at cutomer service as they're not on display.

I wouldn't check the price as they might realise they've made a mistake - methinksthey forgot to add the VAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How the hell are zavvi and argos getting away with 100?

My tesco were not even advertising it.

Just got mine in Smiths for €80 with a free stop watch. Was speaking to the manager and he said the RRP was €100 and smiths were due to sell it for €95 but Xtra Vision placed an ad in the papers saying it was €79.99 so everyone had to drop their price!

It's priced at €94.99 on the Smyths website!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,131 ✭✭✭Curvy Vixen

Just came from picking mine up in Smyth's and they are indeed €79.99 ~ but only made that price a couple of hours ago! Those that got them last night or this morning paid €86 AFAIK.

However, I was told that if someone paid full price and brought back the receipt then they would be given vouchers for the difference....*but I was told not to tell anyone...so ssshhh*

Thats great for anyone with a loyalty card from Smyths.
Am surprised that Tesco's actually have a few of them tbh, good luck to anyone that manages to get one:)

Just got mine in Smyths too, €71.99. I was told that they would be that price until Xtravisions get back to normal (after the first week).

Game in Patricks Street, Cork are now quoting €79.99:D

I went to Tesco in Dundrum at lunch time and asked at Customer Services. They didn't have a clue but called a manager who went off and asked someone else. The manager came back and said they had them in the back and so disappeared for about 10 minutes. He came back with a cardboard box with two Wii Fit in it. He gave one to me and left the other behind the customer service desk. Went into Game just 50 yards away and they were still selling it at €95.

Not defending Game but did you ask what price they were selling it at?
The last two DS games I bought in Game were €5 less when I went to the till to pay.
I know they might not have time to re price all the games but for anyone who is just browsing they would go somewhere else or buy online where games are cheaper.

I had a bit of an impulse buy before I read this thread. Picked it up in HMV and was charged €95. A bit gutted to be honest, but it is really good.

Smyths are offering vouchers back to the people that paid €95, well the ones that are willing to go back anyway ;)
Might be worth your while going back if HMV drop the price.
I was prepared to pay €95 for it until I read the threads here, I am getting it picked up later in Game but have been told its only €79.99 there when I phoned earlier.

Reminds me of when I got Guitar Hero for €110 in Game, only to find out the next day that HMV were selling it for €80.

I went back to game, receipt in hand to protest it, only to be told "Well if HMV want to sell it at a €25 loss that's up to them, as we're only making a fiver on it."

Just rang Game in Blanchardstown and they gave me a price of €80. He said that is was for 'this week only' but I imagine he meant it was for this weekend only. He also confirmed that there should be ones available when I get in there later :D

Thats great a saving of €15:)
I will imagine that the price will shoot back up as soon as Xtravision end their offer.
Mine has been picked up so should be at home waiting for me when I get there:)

    Got an email from Zavvi.

    Quotes Wii Fit at £59.95.
As far as I know they charge 99p for deliverys to Ireland.

Not familier with this item, but thought it might interest above posters.

€100 is appalling. £70 is standard over here and that equates to about €80 not €100. Cheeky feckers!
