Where would you suggest as a destination for a girl about to start a 'real' job in August? Currently temping, but will be donating my body to medical science in a few weeks for some ££ in the meantime! Then will be booking a last minute holiday and open to suggestions!

Personally I want to go to Ibiza as I am 25 and am borderline too old to be going there, so wanna make it before I am a laughing stock!! I am open to other places though, as I am not a chav/raver and I would appreciate a wee bit of culture at the same time!

Also I am bored in work, and can't get on to very many holiday websites so would like you all to advise me instead please!! :)

If your after an Ibiza like holiday I go for Santa Ponsa instead. But if your tempted to go somewhere more high brow Rome is the place to go!

See to me, Santa Ponsa just says exposed boobs & lots of annoying holiday reps! Which is probably pretty common in Ibiza too, but at least they get the good DJs! I may give up on culture I think, plenty of that when I'm older!

Sorry for posting in the wrong place!!! I apologise wholeheartedly!!

Go to Cyprus. It's got culture and history coming out of its arse, great weather.... oh, and Ayia Napa. :)

    Argentina
    Iguazu...beautiful...worth a few day's stay
Buenos Aires....the people are really lovely and the city is amazing
I'd recommend staying in hostels as a way of getting to know people

I usually do city breaks seperate from week in the sun sitting on the beach holidays. If you want to mix beach and city I was surprised to hear Barcelona is good.

I've been to Dubrovnik in Croatia which was a good mixture. Met loads of locals and had a great time.

The canaries are good if you go with some friends - but can be a bit boring without. It's all a bit resorty - you can find decent resturaunts (and lots of really bad steak & chips/Sky Sports joints) Nightlife can be a bit rubbish - stupid pubs where people try and get you in with free shots. Loud bad music, Covers bands etc... I've been to Gran Canaria, Lanzarotte and Fuerteaventura - LZ and FV are good - can't really reccomend GC. There's a bit to see around the islands if you rent a car or use the bus, or see if there are any trips - but ultimately you'll be left a bit culturally hungry.

Yeah I was thinking of croatia, i know it has great beaches and would prob have interesting stuff as well as night time activities! Might look into there, hopefully might not be as expensive either!
