I havn't seen it posted here so thought I would let you know, it hasn't been advertised very well but Dennis Wolf is coming over for it. If you didn't see last years olympia he came out of the blue and alot of people thought he should have won the whole comp! Most think he will be the next Mr Olympia and at a current weight of around 290 I think he/it would be an awesome sight. As for the competitors i am not sure exactly who is competing but the standard seems to go up every year.

Nah, I'm not going I wasn't paid any appearance fee and I'd only make the show look silly by dwarfing Dennis.

When he stops lifting weights he's gonna get fat.

Would have gone down but have other stuff booked. Would love to have seen Wolf though. If anyone's thinking of going down - wear lots of tops, you'll feel very small standing beside a pro in a t-shirt. :D

Unless Dublin get drawn away in the All-Ireland, then we descend on some unassuming place down the country and wreck the gaffe!

Just back from the show now. The show was good, quite a good level of competitors, not quite as many as in the dublin shows but the polish kept the numbers up. Wolf looked unreal, different species. Don't know if the audience was stunned into silence or what but nobody really called him to do an encore, I thought he looked amazing although Marcus Ruhl from three years ago in Denmark St in dublin is still the biggest freakiest thing I have ever seen! Sorry about the pics I was right at the back and the camera wasn't the best...junior.JPG

I wish there was a normal person and the overall winner beside him. Only then would people see how truly massive the pros are. It really is a sight to behold.

    Thanks for the pics mick.
Judging from those pics,I think i've only just realised how big the pro's actually are.
I've only ever heard of a handful of BBing competitions in Ireland in the last 4/5 years. Are there any competitions which are held regularly,or do they just pop up every now and then?Roughly, how many active bodybuilders are there in Ireland?

NABBA national champs are every September. If the standard last year was anything to go by, then this year will be truly special.

I think the RIBBF's are usually a few weeks before.

The show was awsome!! The standards where so high, couldn't believe it! The guys are getting better every year, especially the juniors and the first timers. Dennis was excellent!! wow, what a man-HUGE!

There's a couple of pages of pics in today's Irish Times.
What I want to know is who is the brunette applying her own spray of some sort? Surely someone should be giving her a hand??:)
