Downloading now, 10 euro seems a bit steep though.

According to Wikipedia there are 4 maps in the pack: "Killhouse", "Creek", "Chinatown", and "Broadcast"

And aparently on the XBOX its a record for the most downloaded "paid content" with over 1mil.

I will definately be getting this when I get home.

Can't wait. I think it came just in time, cos I was starting to get a little bored with the current maps. This should keep me satisfied up until GTA4 and MGS4.

I've played them all on the xbox already but am downloading it to my PS atm.

If you hate sniping/snipers, stay away from Creek as it's all that map is good for.
Broadcast is...alright...didn't play it a huge amount but could tell it'll be a lot of camper vs camper / sniper vs sniper due to the parking lot area in it.
Chinatown is good fun and quite a complex little map.

Haven't played Killhouse as of yet though.

€10 is a lot considering these maps are way overdue, the standard maps are just getting far too boring at the moment and seeing as there's no ability to create custom maps or anything on the PS3 as of yet ( In general I think the COD4 online set up is horrible, as far as I'm concerned there should be a lobby with a list of games running/starting and the maps they're on etc etc ) if they don't bring out something else within the next few months, the online multiplayer is going to die a quick death. That said, xbox live gold memberships aren't cheap and they were still charged €6 iirc for the map packs, so we're not doing too badly.

Played em for a while there, i like chinatown alot and creek is good fun sniping. Still haven't played killhouse yet though.

Lads I've tried to buy these extra maps and my address details on the PSN store have me down as a UK address, can't remember if I put this in accidentally when I set up the account, any idea how to change it? When I go into residential address the Country option is greyed out!

I've changed my opinion though. I feel that all of these maps are a massive let down, they're all absolutely shíte and seem to have been made specifically for the campers. Had high hopes for them, even the brief time I played them on the xbox I thought they had potential but after a few games on them I think I'll be resorting back to the old maps, and when they're intigrated they'll join the rest of the "vote to skip" crew.

Funnily enough, most of the maps seem to already be wanted to be skipped from the games I've played.

I think the new maps are excellent adds something new to the game anyway the old ones were gettin a bit worn out. Seems to be only 3 maps tho i cant seem to get killhouse at all has anyone played it yet ?

i havent played it online yet, you can have a look at it in split screen mode though, looks like it would be fun

You can only play it in free for all as far as I know as it's a tiny map and not suitable to the other games.

I badly want new maps because the game is getting dull for me, but I'll do without them. I bought the game...these maps should be free to keep us interested in their game. We only get 4 maps too...good one guys. Oh and don't compare us to xboxs membership & map pack fees...its not a game of follow the leader, and its not a bargain.

Well I love these maps so far! I really like sniping so Creek is brilliant for me, although I already know the best sniping places and I've already learned to throw a cooked grenade into them as I'm passing

Chinatown is very good for intensive fighting and Broadcast provides some really good ambush points for campers (if that's what you're into). In short, I think there's something for almost everyone in these maps. Looking forward to Killhouse.

what a "cooked Grenade"?

i reached level 30 yesterday and i have the "Killer" challenges open and one of them is to kill someone with a cooked grenade

its when you hold the grenade for a few seconds before you throw it so it explodes on impact and they cant throw it back.

ah right. makes sense now. so if i was to hold a grenade for too long will it go off in my hand? cause that has never happened to me.

A cooked grenade when you hold onto it for a few seconds before throwing it so if you time it right it will explode just as it reaches your target giving them no chance to get away from it.

Yeah, unfortunately the double points were wasted on me. I've been sitting at level 55 for over a month now and have no intention of completing prestige so I've let thousands of point slip by

Until prestige starts to mean more than a stupid looking rank badge I won't be doing it. More challenges, maybe some new weapons, that's what I want.

China town is bonkers, it's fairly big though, gonna take a bit of getting used to. As for Creek, not mad on it, snipers everywhere, broadcast mayhem unless you are a camper, not bad, bit disapointed that kill house is another shipyard, too small to appear on the online menu other than cage fights.

I still prefer Backlot and Crash over any of the newer ones.

Ah prestige mode, 3 weeks ago I hit level 55 and like you I wasn't going to sacrifice all that hartd work for a badge so I was ignoring the prestige option for a week or 2 but the lack of any new challanges or promotions meant I started getting fairly bored so I went the prestige route, I have to say I'm glad I did, going back to the older guns that I didn't fully appreciate first time round, M16 for example, as soon as I unlocked the M4 I never used the 16 agian, but it's such a good assault rifle with a red dot on it. Never used shotguns first time round, giving them a try now.
Plus you rank up much faster as you know what you are doing second time round.
