    next tuesday Rowdy Owen Roddy and Ais The Bash will be on TV3 AM at 8.30am(ish) promoting Cage Rage Contenders. There'll be a short piece with them sparring and me talking about the show :)

    also for any of you that like to read Lithuanian newspapers....there's an editorial in todays "Lietuvis". You can get it in the office (55 O'Connel Street Lower, Dublin 1, Tel: 01 8740004) or buy in any East Europe food shop.

    Good stuff ... yesterdays Evening Herald had a "mens health" supplement included, There was an interview with Fedor Emeilanko. At the end bottom of the piece was a mention saying:

    "You can see Irelands rishing mixed martial artist Owen Roddy take on Belguims Torrec Saffiedine in Cage Rage Contenders at the National Stadium on May 3rd"

    Nice to get a mention in a popular paper - even if its not an actual "Herald" suppliment.

    Owen is good fighter i have a respect for him, he have spirit what a fighter need. Good luck for him.

    Fair play to anyone who goes on national tv and talks about their sport. I spoke to a TKD guy who was on it before after he won the world championships and he said the build up was very nerve racking, it's a bit like a count down - and that guy Mark Cagney comes across as if he knows everything about what ever the subject is so it's all chaotic!

    Nice one though!

    You just missed it.

    It covered fight preparation.

    The styles involved - ie BJJ, Judo, M.T. etc

    Ais's and Owen's recent fight records.

    The fat guy asked Ais what injuries she's had.

    It showed Owen & Ais lightly sparring, more like a gentle warm up.

    Also showed a clip of Ais' last fight in the UK.

    Overall it came across pretty good.

    and i think we all know what happen with the ken nd buzz berry fight...ken was owned...

    ya if someone can get a link for when the tv3 interview comes online thatd be great to see

    whoosa, ya big hot head, did they not teach u any manners at ur judo classes?

    If u had watched the video above in full u would have saw the interview at the end of the fight... at the end of the interview the commentators say " ok now, it's the main event , Ken Shamrock vs Buzz Berry..."

    Next time av some manners and dont jump to conclusions
