Hi, I'm interested to hear peoples thoughts on this. First off I would be sceptical despite a ghostly visit one night in 1985 in Dublin which I will post in the ghosts section.
Anyway my wife's uncle Paddy is 85 and has a poor heart condition. He is a water diviner and well sees dead people. He has been called upon many times to locate dead people and with the help of a map and a weight he finds them.
(1). A cousin of my wifes who I would believe, witnessed this one day when a family from Athlone begged him to locate their missing mum, he is very reluctant to do this but as it takes a lot out of him physically but agreed because he knew the woman. Anyway out comes the weight and he asked my cousin to hold it over the map, nothing happened then he touched my cousins hand and it started to spin wildly over a certain area of the map, 'this is where the body is' said Paddy and the Gardai were instructed to look in the section (a part of the Shannon in Athlone) and the body was found the next day. This apparently has happened on numerous occasions down through the years.
    (2) My wifes uncle Mick was on death's door in hospital in Ballinasloe(about 10 years ago), a group of relatives are having a chat when a dead relative is mentioned, Paddy says not to slag him of too much as he is sitting in the room with a number of Mick's other dead relatives (2 brothers and his parents) and that they have gathered together as Mick is not long for this Earth, he was dead 10 minutes later.
    (3) Last night a man in his 50's wearing a hat appeared to him. This has happened before and afterwards the person turns up dead. He usually recognises them but doesn't this time, he reckons the man is already dead and is looking to be found.

All of these stories come from reliable sources and I know Paddy himself and he is a very genuine person, he is unlikely to be with us much longer.

There was a program on TV about an american woman who locates missing persons. She does it in the same way as your wife's uncle Paddy.

Well if its Sylvia Brown then I wouldnt put much faith in her. She told a family on national TV that their son was dead ... he turned up a couple of years later.

Im sure hes a unique character :), but there are others out there like him, who can do what he does to a greater or lesser degree. I suppose we all have instincts about things like death and can experience precognition at some point in our lives. Almost everyone will admit to at least one incident where they inexplicably knew something would happen but couldnt say why.:) The difference with Paddy is that he is obviously calm and accepting about it, and from what youve said, receives the information in an unquestioning and natural way.

I think its lovely to hear about someone like this, who seems to just accept this kind of thing as a part of himself. And if he helps to resolve a family's loss, well thats one of the kindest things anyone can do.

Im interested in what others have to say, as I would accept what he does as a given.

I have to say I am as sceptical as the next person, but Paddy is very genuine, he has never sought to make money out of this and at 85 and suffering from a poor heart condition(brought on from 'apparitions') now resides in an old folks home, I will try and get more information on this.
