What are you basing that on?
Have you calculated all the costs involved in running a game like this and then come to that conclusion or are you just going with the "I think 10% is a fair reg fee"?

Apologies for my tone but this is becoming tiresome.

    Based on 50 runners.............

    Total cash in reg fees............................................................€750

    7 dealers @ average €80 per dealer...........€560
    Additional expenses................................€50
    Total expenses.....................................................................€610

    Pre-tax profit........................................................................€140

    Is this unreasonable??

Is €15 an unfair amount of money to pay to play in a 10 hour poker tournament?

You pay €10 on a €100 tournament online.............No dealers to be paid, no poker tables or other relevant equipment to be bought. No transport costs, no room hire costs. Online games have a lot more players.....A lot more reg fees. But people don't complain about that yet they kick up over an aditional €5 to play in a live game with high running costs. Casinos can run a tournament for €10 because they have a much bigger picture in terms of money in......cash games and gaming.

I can run a €100 freezout for €10 but it will have 5,000 chips and 20min blinds so that we loose players quicker and keep the wage bill down. But if you want to play a €100 freezout with 10,000 chips and 25min blinds it costs a bit more to run it and each player will contribute an extra €5 to have double the chips and longer blind levels. With this in mind it's not fair to say that a blanket 10% reg fee is a fair amount. Please take into cosideration the costs involved in running this event.

Again, sorry for my tone but i've been through this so many times

if this had been a €200+20 tournament with the same structure you wouldnt be complaining. with the cost of venues etc these days, you cant just think of a reg fee as being too high if its over 10%

The idea behind the tournament section was for organisers to put in the structure, entry fee + reg and % of prizepool going into an event. Vegasnights always does this.

Therefore if you don't like any part of it, just don't turn up.

I think €15 reg is very good value.
