Weight Shops In Dublin

Right does anyone know any shops that sell benches in Dublin? Irish-Lifting's a bit dear and not so sure about argos would like to see the bench before I bought it.

So is there any shops in Dublin?

to be honest,Irish lifting benches seem quite solid compared to ones that you would find in the likes of argos etc

VJ's Home Fitness do really good quality benches at a great price. Malteaser got one there and we put it together in no time at all. It's really soild and definately capable of handling anything the average person can put up.

Oh it even has a dip attachment too so extra points there!!

Theres Argos at the cheapo range (and probably crap), then Irish Lifting at the pro quality range and a world of stuff in between. I've an Irish Lifting bench and weights and lots of other stuff.

I'm taking the long term view that I'd rather not replace the stuff because I bought begineer crap in the first place.

I don't actually think the bench I got in on their website but you can go in and check out all their other stuff if you like!!

+1 I have a a few bit's from Argos and they are ok starting off but you will out grow them pretty soon , mainly dew to weight limits plus they just dont feel like you can trust them when lifting heavy weights:(

Im 16 and just starting on the bench so I'd probably just get weights up to 50kg for da min...

Hi Hunter,
I own irish-lifting.com so I am a little biased but this bench is 130 euro and is rated to 1000lb (454kg). If you want to spend less than that on a bench I don't think it is worth it, it really wont last long... I can get cheaper bench but I choose not to sell them.

Na just dont think they are stable enough... I have a gym on camden st which has alot of the heavy duty stuff in it and my warehouse is in lucan if people want to pick up stuff.

It just looks really flimsy, what sort of stuff is it made out of if the max weight of the leg extension is 35kg!!

Like I'm just a beginner and I don't think I'll be benching more than 80 for a while.Plus I'm only 50 kg so I think it can take my weight!

Don't worry though Mickk I will be buying my bar and plates off you.
