I am a Sgt in the RDF and am wondering about the POT Officers course. My Coy Cmdr and my CO both told me they want me to do it. I am a teacher and have the time. What I want to know is what demands are placed on you, time, fitness, travel etc. What should I know? Anybody doing it or recently finished please tell me.

there is a lot of distance learning on the course, the travel depends on where you are based and which bde is running it. The second year you will spend 2 weeks in the curragh college and weekends with the revelant bde. you will have to pass the IT's at grade 3, plenty were chucked off last year for not meeting that requirement.

The second year is run entirely in the DFTC.
