de prob iz ur eating alot ov sugar. its hard to get ripped lky dat.

u need 2 eat less sugar nd carbs.

another option is 2 try nd build more muscle nd evn tho u might not b ripped. u'll look better.

As much as this will offend you - pls dnt writ in txt spk.

    Two broad strokes
-You're eating a shed load of bread, not gonna help you. Neither are the biscuits, lucozade, special k, and probably the pasta/potatoes/chips you have with dinner. Look to reduce/eliminate these. Sub more veg, or fruit if you find your energy dropping.

-You're doing too much in the gym, and probably largely unproductive routine. Are you doing heavy squats, deadlifts, press, bench presses, pull ups, push ups, dips, lunges or are you on machines? Shorten your cardio and increase the intensity. Long sessions in the gym are just going to cause your body to break itself down, really.

I always thought that most Gym's didn't allow under 18's to use their weights room or equipment - for insurance among other reasons.

Have things changed - or was I under a false assumption ?

What said in the rules, and what happens doesn't always match ;)

OP, no text speak please. It hacks me off and results in a state known as thread closure.

hey, sorry about text language, bad habit. anyway, i really thought i had reduced my sugar intake, i used to drink like 5 cans of coke a day! i've started using wholemeal bread and eating lots of fish but when im in school and work I just can't look for substitutions, so is my case hopeless? also i feel like im doing the right amount in the gym, wouldn't doing less only slow my progress? and about the underage thing, yes it does say over 18's only but no one adheres to it, and the staff don't care either. Also i don't understand why i have to work so hard to try and maintain my shape and lots of other lads i know do virtually nothing and eat whatever they like and are ripped regardless! anyway, time is nearly running out, its nearly summer!

Which TF are you in out of interest??

First up you need to make time for brekkie.

You're obviously getting a chicken roll in the local spar or whatever, could you not bring in something for lunch?

If you need some chocolate intake in a day, eat a couple of Jaffa Cakes instead of biscuits, etc...

As for the lucozade, give it up. I'm 17 like yourself, I drink no more than 500ml of fizzy drinks in a week, instead I drink about 5-6 pints of water a day.

Give up the rolls for Spar, etc... they won't do you any favours.

    Different body metabolism, simple as.

    hi all
sorry lucas maximus for hi-jacking your thread, but i have a similar problem!
im a bit older, 24, and have fat left around my belly and love handles which im finding difficult to shift!

Im in the gym or playing soccer 5/6 times a week and eat healthily during the week: breakfast is weetabix/muesli; dinner is grilled chicken, rice and veg; snacks might be fruit or the odd biscuit and packet of popcorn. no fizzy drinks or things like that
weekends however include a few beers, pizza, chips....all the bad stuff really but not in huge amounts!

is my problem solely the wekends or do any of ye knowledgeable people out there know excercises which i could do from home which would tone up the area....or basicaly just do sit-ups??

by the way my gym work outs are generally low resistant high volume work outs!

Theres no seriously crazy scienitific aspect behind getting ripped. Eat clean, and cardio. Weights to maintain the muscle mass you've developed already (protein helps)

G'em has a saying, "if its in a packet and contains more than 5 ingerdients, youre wasting your time eating it."

Sugar drinks. Beers. Processed foods. Potatoes. White bread. All going to go straight back into keeping that bit of weight you've left there, there.

Water. Veg. Low fat cuts of meat. SUb them in for the ones above and you'll see a difference within a week and a half if your reletively strict.
