Which console for child

    With all the consoles out there at the moment which one would suit an 8 year old child better. At present he has the DSL but is growing bored with it. He likes both the Wii and the PS2, has never tried PS3 or Xbox. which would be best value for money or is there something new in the pipeline and would I be better to wait for whatever that is.

    Dont think there is any point in getting a child of that age a PS3 or a 360, there just isnt enough games for someone his age. Definitely a Wii if you dont have one already.

    At that age he is likely to get fairly limited use out of any of the three, Wii probably has the best selection of child friendly games.

    Xbox 360 is the cheapest of the bunch at the moment.
