    Review

Based on the true life best seller Wiseguy by Nicholas Pileggi and backed by a dynamic pop/rock oldies soundtrack was named 1990's best film by the New York, Los Angeles and National Society of Film Critics. And it earned six Academy Award Nominations.

Robert De Niro received wide recognition for his performance as veteran criminal Jimmy "The Gent" Conway. And as the volatile Tommy DeVito, Joe Pesci walked off with the Best Supporting Actor Oscar, Academy Award nominee Lorraine Bracco, Ray Liotta and Paul Sorvino also turned in electrifying performances. You have to see it to believe it.

I'd pat the extra for the special edition.
There's some really great features on it.

Have both versions and to be honest that version isn't worth the disc it's burnt on. No extras and you have to stop halfway through to turn it over. A disgraceful release of a brilliant movie.

As jaytee said, the special edition is way better and can usually be picked up cheap enough anyway.

As an aside, the Special Edition can be gotten from The Hut for about 7.50 Euro delivered. Far better bargain, IMO (no offence intended, Ruu).

Damn, paid €6.99 for this a couple of weeks ago.

Great show. Having to switch over half way through is a bit of a pain though.

I have that release too. Comical having to flip the disc half way through. Maybe it was manufactured before dual layer technology came in.

Yeah that version was one of the first DVDs ever released, as far as I know.
    1997 I think.

I have the Shawshank Redemption that has two sides (think film is on one side, extras on the other).
