So this is the story guys

(not sure if this is PI or really what it is so Mods feel free to move it! - posted it in After Hours but someone suggested here!)

I think I will have to give up my sales careeer due to athritis in my jaw which makes it very painful to talk all day.

However I dont know what else to do.

Ive done sales for 6/7 years and have never done anything else.

I did journalism in college but cant afford to bank my whole career on that full time.

I'm thinking social care or counselling maybe...?

Does anyone know if there is a something like a career advisor or something i can go to, to maybe do some tests to see what I would be best suited to?

Fas has a good website www.careerdirections.ie
Social care is a very tough job, I'd talk to someone whodoes it before I commited to it.

what i recommend is to do a psychometric as it can show what career might suit you join a few recruitment agencies some do that sort of tests to help them to find the perfect career possibly try the gradireland summer career fair on 10th june 2008 more info from http://www.gradireland.com/summerfair i went last year career advisors gave help on writing up my CV and by meeting reps from companies they told me what courses should i do what skills i would need to me it is a one stop shop for courses to jobs and advice hopes this helps
