    hey was wondering does anybody here have this car and if so could they tell me what the drive is like in ireland cause i heard the suspension is rather tough.
    also would like to know what the insurance is like aswell

    Not sure about the Civic, but the Type R Integras are not so pretty on bumpy roads. Sports suspensions were not designed for Irish roads!!! My sister has the 1.5 Civic lowered and I find it a bit rough on some smaller roads.

    As for insurance, it really depends on who you are. If you are under 28-30 then getting insured on a Type R is going to be tough with the main insurance companies in Ireland. Your best bet is to contact the likes of Brittan Insurance or 123.com. They have a higher excess on the policy (usually between €2k-€4k) but the actual cost of the insurance will be a lot more reasonable.

    Also, on TG, they did say the suspension was back breaking...

    If your looking for comfort over performance then this is not the car for you, maybe go for the Standard or Type-S variant.

    Insurance is typically high for any car in and around the 200BHP mark as the "official" import is... for the Japanese 222BHP model expect to pay around €2,000+ for insurance.
