New Call of duty 4 Clan on PS3

Ok, im interested in starting a new cod4 clan.
Im aware of ak47 which is well established (and feared lol) but i wanted to know if theres anyone who would be interested in getting involved with a smaller clan?
I read post by some guy trying to start one that turned into a huge fight between him and ak47 members(NOT AK47's FAULT) but i liked the idea of a smaller clan and besides, there needs to be another boards.ie clan to challenge you ak47 guys!lol.
So anyway leave a messge if you're interested, but could it be people who dont have an atrocious kill to death ratio plz? I know we all start somewhere but itd be nice to have some level of experience.
(even if you have started a clan and want some members let me know!)

I'll play in a clan but only if the rest in the clan are ranked above 55 and have a ktd ratio of 1+.

But first - good luck in getting the clan up and running. We (AK47) are always supportive of other clans, as it gives us more clans to beat

Some tips

1. Get a website/forum up and running. Absolutely vital to organise games, discuss tactics, and build a small community.
2. Constraints on membership are good for a small clan, but can put ppl off. Remember not everyone lvl55, prestige 10 is actually good. Consider trial periods or something.
3. Get involved in competitions - either within the clan, or on something like ps3-ladders.com
4. You (or someone in the clan) will need to put in some time organising games, maintaining the website, etc. It's no co-incidence that for AK47 the two top posters with more posts than the rest combined are the 2 founders.
5. Remember, it's only a game at the end of the day. don't take it all too seriously (e.g. some clans will only take ppl with red-tiger, etc.)
6. Be respectful of other clans when playing them - don't shout down mics, make rules clearly understood. Will encourage them to play you again.

There - think that'll help without giving too many trade secrets away.

Hey RikD, thanks for the post. As you can see this is still in the VERY early stages but ill take in mind what u said.Once (IF) we can get a few members ill start up a website.

To Rb ie:I understand what you mean when you say ppl must have a good kill ratio,i agree thats crucial but im all for finding good players who might not be at 55+ level yet as long as there not too low, i dunno level 40 or something. There are probably alot of these people just getting really good who dont have clans yet.
Like for example haveing red camoflague like RikD said,if you have that and your not a level 55+ then you're obviously gunna be pretty good.

Either way there will have to be a bigger interest for this to take off.

Advertise on other fourms, ps3.ie is a good place, there are loads of others. You WILL find lots of people looking for clans on other fourms, the only thing is they probably wont be Irish. If thats not a problem for you then you'll have no problem getting people.

Indeed. However, if you're killing quite a few per game you're going to speed through the ranks and be at 55 in no time. If you've a high ktd ratio but are low ranked, you're probably a camper and getting fck all kills per game but dying a whole lot less and I won't be on the same team as people who spend every game hiding in a corner waiting for people to pass by.

Oh ya by the way, my level isnt that high so dont worry (too much) about your rank. Im just under level 50 but can defenitely hold my own.I have my red tiger camo and have a high kill to death ratio.

We've got 2 lads allready for COD4 and are allways accepting more. Not just for COD4 ofcourse. If theres a game you play on PS3 online, that noone else does, you could effectively be the leader in that game. A captain if you will...

I'm managing (trying to lol) the console side of things at the moment. Xbox.com makes it extremely handy for keeping in contact with everyone and seeing whos active and etc etc. It's unfortunate that PS3 doesnt have this at the moment but I'll keep faith in Sony for the future.


The website is due an overhaul soon, as it currently doesnt really reflect how active and broad the community is.

saturday im actually in barcelona mate! definitely next week though. Im also on tomorrow.

as far as the site is concerned, lots of stuff we can do with role-based access, ie, certain people can maintain certain content etc.

we'll talk about it while we're destroying ak47. well we have to have SOMETHING to do while they all respawn simultaneously..

Well I meant to put the message in here, that Irish Esports are expanding and your thread comes at perfect timing, that we could work together and get the PS3 division off to a great start.
I guess it did look like I wanted people for a clan of my own.

So at this point I'll let it be known, I'm not the leader of iE and I wasnt actually going to be playing PS3. I dont have one. I'm just a messenger / diplomat.
So I was looking for someone to be leader of PS3 side of things basically. (you)

Ok well just to let you all know, trying to get a group together went incredibly badly lol.There were very few people and lots of ''unable to connect'' issues. I think im going to have to leave it go.
If anyone wants me for a clan let me know.
Im a level 50 with a 1.25 kill/death ratio and I have my red tiger camoflague.
Im in a clan with some American guys now but id like to be in a Irish or Uk clan.See you guys soon..........p.s. GTA IV!!!
