Very rare cars this side of the world. Maym were heavily modified or the engines were used in 205's and so on. There is still quite a few of them in the USA oddly enough.

Gosh, I used to love these Cars.

I used to see a deep maroon coloured one knocking around Naas, but have not seen one in a long while.

May be worth contacting George Frayne in Naas. He is a independent garage with a very keen interest in Peugeots. He has a 205 GTI with the reg '205 GTI' or 'GTI 205', one or the other!

IF it's the engine you're after:

The Citroen version of that engine in the hot BX GTI of the time
delevoped a fair bit more power.

    LOL !! :p:p:p

Reminds me of the Hal Roche joke:......
A guy is walking down the street, and sees a cobbler shop, and remembers he left in a pair of shoes for new soles, about 5ys earlier, but forgot to back for them.

As he loved those shoes, and had nothing to lose, he went in, met the old gent at the counter, and explained his story. The old gent said 'hold on, I'll go out the back and check.....'
Old gent comes back and says 'no problem, we have the shoes.......They'll be ready on Friday !! ' :p:p

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”
