Any tips on how to prevent shaving rashs girls? My legs are fine, it's another part that I get really bad rash on after shaving that lasts a few days :( I've tried waxing a few times and hated it so that's a no go. If anyone has any tips or recommendations on any products to use before, during, after etc that'd be great thanks.

Why dont you try immac hair removal cream? If you get rashes then stop shaving.

Was it that you hated doing home waxing or was it in a salon? I wouldnt even attempt home waxing, salons are much less painful.

Heres a great shaving tip all men learn early on in their life.

First of all, you need to open up the pours. So use a flannel in some warm water and slap that over your um...Kipper..

Secondly use a shaving balm like king of shaves, somehting with aloe veara (sp?) IT will leave a plesant smell afterwards. That'll help if you have a bit of a bacterial problem down below.

After this you will want to close the pours, so you can use the flannel method.. or clam dip a bowl of cold water. Hopefully after all this it will stop your clout looking like a 15 year olds face.

Why not try some conditioner for shaving and then slap on a laod of baby oil/ really good moisturiser.

Can't say i'm a fan of the immac removal cream, pongs terribly!! Can't beat a bit of waxing!!

Waxing FTW, immac as second choice, plus I find an immac between waxing makes waxing easier. They've made it pong less now, can't say it bothers me.

Immac doesn't give you ingrown hairs. It's cheap and easy too.

I bought a spray solution from Brazilia in Dublin. It is supposed to stop the rash after waxing/shaving and also stops ingrown hairs. Might be worth checking out.

Shaving thou?? :o I know you said you hate waxing but have you tried the hot waxes yet??

Oooh think that's for scars and dehydrated skin etc....I'm sure it says not to use on broken or cut skin so might not be a good idea?

I wish Veet actually worked, life would be so much easier!

Use conditioner and shave in the same direction as the hair is growing. Also, I find doing so every few days helps.

use a new blade and slap on aloe vera after wards to stop any rashes or irritation. if this still doesn't work try immac though i haven't used it since its pongy days either.

    Boots Expert > Immac

Comes with a shea-butter cream for afterwards too, I think.

Firstly soften the hair with hot/warm water. This damages the hair making it easier to shave off. Also if you can, put conditioner on the hair as that also damages hair letting water in and softening the hair.

Then rinse off the conditioner and put on your shaving cream. Shave in the direction of hair growth the first time then if you want it closer you can shave across the direction of hair growth. Use cold water to close the pores afterwards.

If you need to see which way the hair is growing then you can use a cottom ball by gently gliding it over the hair - when it glides smoothly it means you are travelling in the direction of hair growth (alternatively I can take a look :D).

If you can get him to shave that stubble more often and use a bit o moisturiser that rash might just dissapear ;)

Can you use Immac on your, shall we say "delicate area down there" ? Warnings on the pack say to avoid those sensitive bits like the plague. I'm still a wax virgin but fed up with shaving so I may give it a go soon.

You can immac bikini line no problem. Says so on the box, dunno bout using it for a full brazilian type though. Do a patch test first to make sure you dont have a reaction.

Yep, just buy the sensitive version and do a test on a bit not too near, eh you know.
Make sure to put the moisturising cream on afterwards and don't leave the Imaac on too long either beforehand.

yaaa but immac gives you that yuck stubbly thing after a day or two.. and shaving gives u a rash.. and waxing i hear is ferocious! so whats a girl to do?! shaving defeats the purpose, cos you cant wear a bikini when u have this ugly shaving rash.. and same goes for the immac stubble effect. i think i may have to just endure the wax..
