Headed out to Parnell Pk expecting a tough game and thats exactly what happened. There was more fighting than in Calzaghe fight.

Some really great images there. Sorry I missed it, but I'd had a very long night (and it wasn't because I was enjoying myself). The result sounded very interesting, with so many yellow and red cards, never mind the final score.

Looks like you're now getting a consistent standard of good images at the GAA games.

    Well done.

I tried the 1.4 extender yesterday so images are tad bit dark.

Westmeath next weekend in the Final so you might make it out for that.

Dunno Chris, sports aren't my thing in photography - yours look great but is photographing the fights doing anything constructive - no reflection on you but? Is it enhancing the experience? Is it just seeing it as it happened? Is it reportage? Personally I think that the fighting and misguided aggression in GAA is getting worse and is turning a huge percentage of fans off the game(s).

I'm all for the inter-county rivalry but this level of stupidity is crazy.

    Yep, I'm 50% GAA 50% Football!
I've only missed 2 games of the League so far ... and typical I'll have to miss the final now due to other committments :pac:

Heading to the game yesterday I nearly shot straight through Clones and on to Kingspan Century Park ... force of habit :D

In fairness whatever on the pitch, there is no need for supporters to start throwing things on the pitch. There is a real bad element going to these games now.
