I was just wondering are Spinergy Rev X aero carbon wheels permitted to be used in triathlons and time trail events. I have them both front and back on my bike and heard that people using them may be disallowed from competing in local duathlon or triathlon races. Dont ask me why. Also does anyone have any experience in using them ie do they make a difference to overall speed etc. Attached below is a link to what they look like. I have the 3 spoke wheels on the front and back of the bike (its a kestrel Teflon bike) and have not used them yet.

There is something about them. I heard that they were banned as well.

I'm not sure that they are legal in races, but think its more mass start cycling races.
