I admire his bravery in letting this out into the public forum.
He's not very good at it..
Id hate to see how big he'd be without it:pac:

I thought you couldn't be cured from Bullimia or something. But if he's done it maybe there's some hope for the rest of the people with Bullimia

    Certainly is brave.
Hes not the type of person (middle aged man) who you'd associate with that disease.

I think you can, must be so difficult for him after 17 years of illness though.

This is horrible. It must take some extra courage to admit it being an older man and in the public eye.

It's weird, i'd never associate it with a guy like Prescott. Takes balls to admit it.

He forgot the most important part of bullimia... vomiting!....... FAT C*NT!

Bloody hell, it's hardly necessary to have a picture of him eating food, for the sake of illustration........

The RTE News report was a bit insensitive though. Seemed like they were trying to cram as much footage as they could into the report of him scoffing fry-ups and cakes....

    Fair play to him though.

He has gotten an awful lot of stick from the media for his eating habits down through the years.
I guess old habits die hard.

Fair play to him, he was well aware of how it would look, young girls get enough stick about it, let alone a fat well to do politician, he has landed another left jab on us all.

    Fair play.

I think its good that he came out with this, and particularly that he talked about how he hid it for so long, even from his wife.

@Death or Glory: Yes he is fat. People who were bulemic often are. If your comment had been witty, it might have been funny. As it was, it was just crass. Grow up.

Has he actually been diagnosed though? Maybe i'm worng, but I'm getting the impression he seems to be just thinking because he throws up sometimes after food he's bulimic, but that's not it at all.

    That was class.

Much mileage was had by the media over that left jab.

Waste of a good egg imo.

Was he the one that came out of the closet? If so, how many things can he come out about! I'm secretly a "Men in Black" midget-esque alien.

If by 'the closet', you mean the non-gay closet, then yes.

Which british politician turned out to be gay and caused a lot of media attention?

    David Norris? *kidding*

You might be thinking of Michael Portillo, he admitted to 'gay experiences' in his youth.

I don't really get what you mean.

He is an infamous binge eater, I recall a newpieces when they started that two jag thing, where they asked his local chinese to show a his typical order supposedly to show his extravagent consumption. He would eat practically everthing on the menu.
