Will this work in a house? If not what is the best way to get free to air in a new house without monthly bills. i have seen ads in local paper fro guys that put up free to air dish or ariel for around 300 euro. What channels would I get with this, sport not important if that helps. SAdvice appreciated;)

The dish wiht that camping kit is near useless as a long term solution. You'd be better getting a proper dish and good satellite receiver. Maybe use a Quad LNB on the dish which would allow you to have 4 seperate FTA receivers.

You'd need aerial(s) for Irish channels.

Presuming you need somebody else to install it, I'd say you'll be looking in the region of €200 to €300 for a FTA satellite system. It can depend on location, etc.

LNB is basically the device on the end of the dish that the cable is connected to, as per the link you posted.

You'll need aerial for the RTE, TV3, etc, as these are not free on satellite.

hi you might be as well off getting sky for a year cost €280 for the year, at the end of it u could cancel it and you would be left with the dish and receiver.

Yes. Equipment will be yours. You'll also get RTE, TV3, etc on Sky for the year that you subscribe.

When you cancel Sky after the year, you'll still get free channels on the box, like BBC, ITV, etc. You'd then need the aerial for Irish channels.
