    Hi
We hope anyone can help. Our dryer will do everything except heat up to dry the clothes. We dont know if there is a safety switch on the thermostat or if the element has gone.
On most Dryers (our daughters one had the same problem Hers is a Hotp*int and we took the back off and stuck a paperclip in to reset it) there is a safety knock off but we have no idea where it is on this model.
If anyone knows or has any ideas is this possible with this model. As we dont want to end up buying a new one if its just something small.
    All ideas would be great
    Thanks

    Hi,
You need to check the following for no heat:

1:Heater element for a open circuit.

    2:Safety Thermostat (Tripped).Resettable.

3:Thermostat(cycling stat) and T.O.C (Thermal Overload Cutout). The T.O.C is a one-shot and if it activates it needs to be replaced. If either one is faulty, both need to be replaced.

One reason why the T.O.C trips is the user opens the door during the drying process, this creates latent heat build-up and trips the T.O.C.

Make sure all filters are cleaned and vents are clear and outside grills are not obstructed.:)

Power off if you are checking these components yourself.
