What makes you think he's done any of this?

In any case change your passwords basically as you may have told him what they were when it was all lovey dovey.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

    Agreed. Passwords, PIN numbers, etc.

The only thing you can do to check is view your transaction history or your sent mails, etc.

Finding your facebook/bebo page full of pornography is also a sure sign youve been hacked but you knew that already.

Not sure about the laws regarding it, myself.

    You cant,

whats the law on this sort of thing?
Depends where the server is but pretty much anyone you say it to will laugh at you.

i just wonder what else the ex has been up to?
you would be suprised what people can get these days, Emails that become keycatchers, bluesnarfing, triangulation from mobiles that can tell you exactly where you have been and when,

Are you sure it is him? And if it is, ring him up and tell him you know and to grow up.

I'm a tad bit curious.. Why would you even do this in the first place? Not exactly something you tend to do as a general thing.. So gave you the idea that something was up/to google your alias?

Im far from knowledgable on the matter but doesnt it construe identity theft?

Sorry overheal but no it doesnt.
in fact with some more reaserach its not even a crime depending which mail server you use, for example as yahoo is based in he united states someone in ireland has not commited a crime there, and nothing was gained moneteraly so identity fraud has not happend.

Personally I think there is a lot more to this than meets the eye.
why would her ex want to look at her mails?? maybe he tought she was cheating on him ( remember the post the other day of husband advertising on personals ) its all a bit fishy to me, and mabe theres a bit of drama queen added in. sorry to be so blunt but too many people have too much of an opinion on themselves these days.

I changed everything because myself and the ex didn't end in the best of terms and trust was one of the many reasons why we ended i'm sad to say.

if my ex thinks i WAS cheating, it still does not make it ok!!!!!!

I'm very upset it is over but still it happens and we were on great speaking terms and i just don't think anyone has a right to do that sort of thing.

thank you EVERYONE for your help!
