ACDC new album in the works

AC/DC have confirmed that they are working on a new album, which they plan to release later this year.

In a posting today (April 18) on the band's website, they revealed that they have been recording new material in Vancouver with producer Brendan O'Brien (Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen).

This will be the veteran Australian rockers' first new album since 2000's 'Stiff Upper Lip'

doubtful there have been rumours of his since stiff upper lip and it's been on NME before as well

I'm not too fussed about a new album. If it gets released, I'll definitely check it out but I'm more interested in them getting a tour going. If they were to play Slane here in Ireland that would be amazing!

There have been rumours of a new album for the past three years or so. This is the first time I've seen anything even vaguely official, though. Here's hoping for a tour as well.
