Tall guy needs new bed

I need to replace my old bed, but unfortunately I need to get a non-standard size... I'm six foot five and have to sleep diagonally even in a two metre bed to fit without my feet hanging over the edge or my head mashed against the headboard. I'd say 2 metres 20cm should do it, length-wise.

I know such things are available... a 6'3" friend of mine had one custom made with a suitably large mattress. But she's in Germany, and I'm not particularly keen on getting one shipped from over there!

So, any suggestions?

Hope these help, have seen them more available in the UK, maybe do a search and see if they deliver to Ireland.

Thanks for the suggestions, but none of those beds are long enough. A 6'6" bed is still too short for me, unfortunately

My Dad works for a bedding/furniture company that can make any size bed you want. Let me know if you want his contact details and he will get something sorted out less that retail for you.

Hey I'm 6'7" and I am about to buy a new one, I was going to buy a king size as its supposed to be 240cm long. You can get them in Argos etc. Worth a look!

Also, there is another company just off Cork street that I got a quote of €745 to make a 7 foot long divian bed for me. The problem would be finding sheets for it!!!

joejoem, I think you may be misinformed about how big king size is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bed#Standard_sizes ... the size given on Argos is probably the length of the bed and not the sleepable area.
