Cracks in Block walls

I am currently building a 2.5m high wall out the back of my house but I have noticed 2 different types of cracks in the wall. The first is a vertical crack which goes straight down through mortar joints and blocks. The second is a crack along a mortar joint. Was wondering if there was anything to worry about?

It is a 6" block wall about 7m long where I have the vertical cracking and 5m long where the horizontal cracks are. There are no piers.

Sounds like its failling. 2.5m is high 7m is long 6" is realitively thin and no piers is bad . not sure the rules on giving out advice so i would suggest you seek proffesional advice.

Can you describe, in some detail please , the foundations that you put in upon which you are now building this wall.

IMO a 2.5m high wall without piers is a flagrantly dangerous construction

6" 2.5m high wall without a pier is dangerous. 7m long is on the limit of not needing a movement joint so the problem lies with the height/thickness ratio.

Your foundation seems fine. Is it open to strong wind?
