Got a few of these for Na Taibhse and I've a couple left over, so they're up for sale.

Two motorola xtn 446 radios, these are a good quality radio, they are really solid handsets and in a different league to the kind of stuff you'd buy in Argos. Normal retail price for these with a charging cradle is 250euro.

Full review available here (it'll take a minute to load.)

Both radios function perfectly fine, one has some minor marks and "M4" lightly engraved into the back, as pictured below, price for this one is 140euro.

The other one is in good as new condition, even has the plastic cover over the LCD screen, this has some slight wear marks on the back, again, as pictured below, price is 160euro

Both radios come with a brand new, boxed, charging cradle. Radio's themselves are not boxed. Manual is available here

Utreg: That's grand, I only work around the corner in Dundrum/Windy Arbour so I'm sure we can meet to arrange collection. I'll PM you.

Puding: You didn't specify which one you wanted, but since you were checking with the "bank" on funds, I'll guess you'd probably prefer the 140 one? Hope this is ok with you?

I've found the an Post site overestimates everything.

I'll take one (either one) if the others don't want them. Money waiting.

I'll let you know if either of the above pull out but at the moment a sale is agreed on both.

As a matter of interest, where did you get those radios. looking for some but hard to find.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,414 ✭✭✭kdouglas

ebay, but it requires lots of patience and a keen eye for what you want :)

maplins had them in Belfast a week ago - on special offer for March/April. The offer is now over as I was looking for them just last night.

They were reduced to £129(€165) from about £180 I think.

Should have got one but I bought the cheapo doro radios from them instead for £30. They are "ok" and come with a charger and ear/mic pieces but the quality/clarity from the XTN is far superior.

I picked up a pair of cheapy Binatones for the moment. Will invest in more expensive ones at a later stage. Cheers for all of the advice.
