Hi there, I don;t know the answer as haven't done it myself but there is a fair amount of other posts regarding the smarthome solution (a couple if I recall very recent) - would suggest you do a quick search to get that info - bottom line people seem to believe it is fairly overpriced for what it is and there are several other solutions on the market that can be implemented a lot cheaper and just as good

    best of luck

Smart homes is a decent system,

They will usually offer you about 3 options, some people will recommend all sorts of data cable solutions, and for some people they work very well, but you'd need to know something about PCs to get the most from most of the data cable solutions, but there are dummy proof options there too

It's expensive, but they can delver the right product, they use decent cable etc and you could sit down with them and discuss what you want, for example the speaker mounting frames in the ceiling in new builds are a good idea, as you can retrofit speakers with no repairs afterwords.

I've seen most of the home AV stuff at some stage or another, and smart homes is a good product, obviously what you spend on a the hardware is the next question, its good to know what you want and if you will ever buy all the hardware to make this installation worthwhile, no point in getting it everywhere if you intent to use some 100 euro DVD speaker combo.

I would also be interested in hearing about systems that match this solution on quality, but beat them on price
